Popeda will release a new studio album in the spring of 2027. The first single, 'Rakkauden meisseli', is planned for the beginning of the year, and more singles will follow before the album's release.

The recordings have taken place at Finnvox Studio with producer and co-composer Joonas Parkkonen, who has previously worked with Blind Channel, Lost Society, and Apocalyptica. According to guitarist Costello Hautamäki, the producer has given the recordings greater depth and a more international sound.

The songwriters also include singer Olli Herman, bassist Alex Hautamäki, Mikko Karjalainen, Antti Kleemola, Samuli Sirviö, and Janne Rintala, in addition to the guitarist. Hautamäki estimates the time since the last album to be about a decade. During this period, the band has undergone lineup changes, including a change of vocalist.
