Floor Jansen has released “Everything Is Moving On” with an accompanying music video as the third single from her upcoming studio album Hytress. The album will be released on January 15, 2027, and is followed by an international tour with a full live band. Among the concerts is a performance at Kulttuuritalo in Helsinki on February 7, 2027.

The new single is released via REVAMP Music and Warner Music and follows “Run” and “Bring Me Silence”, the latter of which also received a music video. Together, these three releases introduce an album that, according to press materials, is described as sharper, heavier, and more distinctive. That description expresses the project’s intended direction and should not be read as an independent assessment of how the music sounds.

At the center of “Everything Is Moving On” is a simple idea: life takes place in the present and does not wait for a more opportune moment. The song is about time, change, and the decisions people make while the world continues around them. The message encourages the listener to act on what matters, seize important opportunities, and not postpone the choices that shape life.

In comments accompanying the release, Jansen describes this awareness as a matter of both action and honesty. She highlights how easy it is to put off important things and the value of making decisions that reflect who you are and where you want to be. Moving on, in this context, can also mean letting go of commitments or bonds that no longer feel right.

There is a difference between rejecting the past and accepting change. Jansen’s reasoning encompasses both gratitude toward the people and experiences that have brought one to the present and the insight that the current situation may no longer fit. The song’s main idea is therefore not only a call to seize the moment: it also acknowledges the difficulty in choosing a different path.

This perspective ties into how Hytress is presented in press materials. Instead of treating the past solely as a source of nostalgia, the album is described as a work that carries its weight forward into something more powerful and distinctive. The common emphasis is on continuity through change: moving forward does not require erasing what has come before, but means choosing what will be carried into the next chapter.

The tour begins at Trix in Antwerp on January 14, 2027, the day before the album release. On the release day itself, Jansen performs at Le Bataclan in Paris, followed by Electric Brixton in London. The European tour continues through January and February with concerts in Germany, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Poland, Sweden, Finland, and the Netherlands.

The performance in Helsinki is scheduled between the Swedish shows and the concluding part of the February European dates.
