Singer, songwriter and guitarist Laura Pold will release her debut album, A Woman’s Heart, on Friday, November 6, 2026. The album’s twelve tracks have a more polished, pop-oriented sound, while retaining guitar-driven rock energy, direct melodic hooks, layers of textures and nostalgic undertones. The lyrics focus on love, youthful restlessness and the passage of time. The overall mood is melancholic but leaves room for hope.

She grew up in a musical family and has been writing and playing music for as long as she can remember. Stage fright, however, prevented her for several years from performing live. An internship in Berlin became a turning point: instead of focusing on work and studies as planned, she started playing in the city’s underground scene. The experiences gradually eased her stage fright and strengthened her resolve to pursue music.

Upon returning to Copenhagen, she formed her first band, the all-female rock trio Going For The One, when the covid-19 pandemic broke out. The lockdown gave the musicians time to rehearse and develop their sound before facing the audience. Since then, the group has played over a hundred shows, including a performance at Copenhell this year.

Over the past year, her solo project has resulted in three singles. Two were selected as the week’s pick by Bands Of Tomorrow, while one was chosen as Uniradioen’s Ugens Unikum — roughly the unique pick of the week. All of them have been played on several radio stations, which has given the recordings a platform beyond the live scene.

In September 2026, she was selected to play at Vibe Up Festival at Roskilde Rock Museum.
