Jonne Järvelä will release his solo album Harjumaa on December 18, 2026. The title track is already available on streaming services. The Korpiklaani frontman has previously released the solo albums Jonne (2014) and Kallohonka (2017).

The singer describes the single as melancholic but hopeful, with the theme being humanity's strength from nature. The imagery likens human resilience to a tree whose strong roots carry it through adversity. He wrote the music on acoustic guitar; the idea for the lyrics came when he looked out a window and saw a hill covered in pines.

In the band that bears his name, JONNE, he takes on vocals, guitar, mandolin, dobro, bass, percussion, programming, and keyboards. The ensemble also includes Jaana Järvelä on vocals and shaman drum, and Yoko Perttula on hurdy-gurdy and whistle.

Other members have connections to several other bands: vocalist and bassist Kärtsy Hatakka has played in Waltari, accordionist Sami Perttula also plays in the frontman's main band, and violinist John Ryan, who has appeared on earlier solo releases, has long been a member of Cruachan.

Among the guests are Jesper Anastasiadis on double bass and electric bass, Samuli Mikkonen on drums, Riikka Jaakkola on backing vocals, as well as Yovan Nagwetch with Indigenous traditional vocals and flute. Pianist Kasper Mårtenson has a background in Amorphis, Barren Earth, Mannhai, and Turisas. The late guitarist Ben Woods, who united flamenco and metal in his music, also features on the recording.

The album will be played in its entirety during a public pre-listening session at The Riff in Helsinki on December 11, 2026, at 6 PM. The singer will host the event, for which seating is limited. He is currently touring Canada with his main band and is expected to return before December.
