Carola Häggkvist is entering the world of design. It is now clear that the Swedish pop icon will be launching her own collection of glasses and sunglasses, inspired by her personal style.
After more than four decades on stage, Carola Häggkvist continues to find new forms of expression alongside her music. Now, a new project awaits as she teams up with Synsam to create her own eyewear collection.
The collection will draw inspiration from Carola's vibrant and elegant style, with a focus on Scandinavian design and personal details. Work on the collection will begin in the autumn, and Carola herself will be involved in the design process.
“It will be a lot of fun to create a collection that reflects my own style,” says Carola Häggkvist.
For Carola, especially sunglasses have long been a part of her personal expression and an accessory that can enhance both style and personality.
The still unnamed collection will include both glasses and sunglasses and is planned to launch at the beginning of 2027. Parts of the collection will also be manufactured in Sweden.
Carola broke through with “Främling” at Melodifestivalen 1983 and has since become one of Sweden's most well-known artists. In 2025, she was awarded the Grammis gala's honorary prize for her long and significant career in Swedish music.
