Pop artist Rosi has released her second album, Pyhiä voimia, with Taistele, pakene as its focus track. Its songs address womanhood, a hunger for life and love, drawing on experiences she describes as direct and personal.

Love has been a particularly difficult subject for the singer to approach in her writing. Despite enjoying being in love, she says she has found it hard to turn that feeling into songs. For this record, she wanted to challenge herself as a writer and look more closely at her own growing pains.

People close to her have called her music “sacred pop”, a description she links to both the subjects of the songs and her writing style. For her, the album’s title evokes powerful emotions and pausing to consider the things that matter. She hopes the listening experience will move people to reflect on themselves, their lives and what they regard as sacred.

Niko Lith produced the record. Anniina Timonen, Mirva Malkamäki, Jaakko Kiuru and Emmi Hakala contributed as co-writers.

An album-release celebration is scheduled for November 12 at Korjaamo in Helsinki. Kajo Music handles live bookings.
