Jason “Timbuktu” Diakité, one of Sweden’s most acclaimed and beloved hip hop artists, is set to deliver a grand performance at Malmö Arena on November 21, 2026. This highly anticipated evening marks a significant homecoming event for Timbuktu, whose musical journey and cultural impact have deep roots in Skåne.
Demand for tickets has been high since the concert was announced, and virtually all regular seated and standing places have already been snapped up by eager fans.
Spectacular Return After a Summer Without Touring
The concert follows Timbuktu’s first summer without touring since 1996 – a remarkable pause for an artist with a perpetually packed schedule. Instead of embarking on the usual round of festival and club tours, he has now chosen to gather his audience for a single, spectacular event aimed both at his home crowd in Skåne and fans from across the country.
The show at Malmö Arena will be Timbuktu’s biggest headline concert to date, underscoring both his ongoing strong popularity and his ambition to make the night unforgettable. Timbuktu himself has described the evening as more than a concert, promising an experience filled with surprises, togetherness, and heartfelt energy. He has stated that he wants to “leave his heart on the arena’s stage,” highlighting the personal significance of this homecoming night.
On stage, Timbuktu will be backed by the groovy funk band Damn! as well as DJ Large, Esta Kirabo, and Julimar Santos. These musicians have long contributed to Timbuktu’s energetic live shows and studio work, ensuring a dynamic and nuanced stage experience.
The event stands out both for its scale and its inviting spirit. Timbuktu has invited all of Skåne – and Sweden – to take part, and the concert is set to become a meeting place where music breaks down boundaries and unites a diverse audience in Malmö Arena.
Everyone wishing to secure a spot is advised to act quickly, as even upper tier seats are now selling fast. For lovers of Swedish hip hop, soul, and live music, this is an evening not to be missed.
