Jemina’s self-released debut album, Tuskasta taidetta, surpassed the gold record threshold a month after its release. The album was preceded by five singles, including “Ylpee”, which has achieved platinum level thanks to streaming numbers.
The album combines dark pop, lyrics drawn from personal experiences, catchy melodies, and dramatic production. Guest artists include costee—who was the singer's childhood idol—as well as Aatulove.
The album was mainly created in collaboration with producer Tomi Tamminen. Vilma Alina, Kaisa Korhonen, Hanna Johde, and Ellis Kouhia also contributed to the songwriting.
The singer expressed gratitude that the songs have reached people who needed them, describing listeners’ messages as deep and meaningful. New music is also in the works.
On the album release tour, the songs will get a striking visual interpretation. The tour kicks off with the first performance listed below and also includes Oulu:
