Flok has quickly established themselves as one of the most innovative a cappella groups in Finland and has now officially signed a record contract with the renowned label Vallila Music House. The agreement is seen as an important milestone in the group's development, characterized by both viral successes and musical quality.

Partnership Founded on Viral Breakthroughs

Formed in autumn 2022, Flok quickly became a name on the Finnish music scene by combining the strong traditions of a cappella with the energy of modern pop. The group's arrangements, especially cover versions of songs from UMK, have attracted significant attention on social media and generated over ten million views. These creative interpretations have not only drawn in new audiences but also sparked interest from both record companies and original artists, laying the foundation for contact with Vallila Music House.

The collaboration emerged from mutual artistic trust. Leo Hakanen, representative of Vallila Music House and known as the guitarist and songwriter in Haloo Helsinki!, highlights the group's talent and originality as crucial. He has long called for a new generation of a cappella artists in Finland and sees these expectations fulfilled in Flok.

For Flok, now entering their fourth year of activity, the deal is a natural next step. The group expresses great enthusiasm for the collaboration and points out how the professional support from Vallila Music House creates new opportunities to develop their artistry. Work on new material will begin in late 2026, with a planned release during 2027.

Flok consists of six professional musicians: Lilja Lundén and Liisa Kivinen are sopranos, Maija Laurinsilta is alto, Wiljami Miettunen and Joel Bonsdorff are tenors, and Juho Laasanen sings bass. The band's rhythmic signature is marked by Joel Bonsdorff's beatbox, which enhances the intricate arrangements and sets the group apart in the Finnish musical landscape.

Since their inception, Flok has made an impact both online and on stage. The group released their debut album in 2025 and won the category for amplified groups at Tampereen Sävel 2023. With performances at concert halls, clubs, and festivals around the country, they have gathered a loyal audience and earned a reputation for energetic live shows.

The collaboration with Vallila Music House will be introduced live to audiences with two support gigs for Haloo Helsinki! at Allas Live in Helsinki on August 6 and 7, 2026. Both concerts are already sold out, testifying to the strong demand for the group's unique sound.

Vallila Music House was founded in 2016 by industry veteran Gabi Hakanen and has developed into a central player in the Finnish music market. The company works with publishing, management, production, and events, and includes artists such as Haloo Helsinki!, Irina, A.W. Yrjänä, The 69 Eyes, and Rebekka Holi.

With Flok under the Vallila Music House banner, expectations are high for a partnership that can elevate a cappella music to new heights in Finland and internationally. With new music planned for 2027, the group is ready to make a lasting mark on the contemporary music scene.
