Known for their boundless blend of industrial metal and dancefloor energy, Turmion Kätilöt – the undisputed masters of Finnish disco metal – are gearing up for a groundbreaking 2026. The band will release their twelfth studio album, Resodance, on October 23, 2026, and are already building anticipation with a cinematically charged new single and ambitious stage plans on the European continent.
New single and album preview
The current single "Amon-Ra" offers a vivid glimpse into the lively, slightly twisted universe that Turmion Kätilöt have developed over their career. The song is accompanied by a dramatic, cinematic music video directed by Toni Hiltunen and starring MC Raaka Pee. "Amon-Ra" showcases the group’s talent for theatrics and dark humor. According to member Shag-U, the track distills the characteristically quirky emotions that define the band’s identity, inviting listeners into a ritual universe open to interpretation.
"Amon-Ra" is one of several tracks already revealed from the upcoming Resodance album, whose tracklist also includes "Nostajat", "Kunnioita", "Pöytäviinaa Ja Pimeitä Naisia" and "Hallelujah!". The album is now available for pre-order in both classic formats and exclusive special vinyl editions, a long-awaited treat for collectors and devoted fans.
The classic Turmion Kätilöt lineup continues to lead the band: MC Raaka Pee (vocals), Master Bates (bass), Run-Q (keyboard), DQ (drums), Shag-U (vocals) and Bobby Undertaker (guitar). The group’s collective energy and irreverent attitude are as tangible in the studio as they are on stage.
In parallel with the album release, Turmion Kätilöt are preparing for their biggest live performance yet: the arena spectacle Colossal Disco taking place at Helsinki Ice Hall on October 24, 2026. Tickets are almost sold out, but a few remain – testament to the band’s strong domestic standing. In addition to this, the band will also perform at XXL Mössö in Lahti on November 7, 2026, further strengthening their ties to the Finnish audience.
European tour spring 2027
The commitment extends far beyond Finland as Turmion Kätilöt set out on an extensive European tour in February 2027. During this series of high-energy concerts, the band will bring their well-known show and chaos to fans across the continent. The confirmed tour dates are:
