Sylvie’s Head return with “Hysteric”, a single built around cutting guitars, a heavy bassline, unusual flute sounds and an unsettling rhythm. The track combines rock and dub with a tense, paranoid edge. It is accompanied by People’s Paradise Mix, a darker dub version, and offers an early indication of the band’s second album, planned for 2027.
The Gothenburg quartet consists of Erik Grahn, Albin Bureteg, Hannes Lundström and Victor Högsberg. Their debut album, “Everything Is Free”, arrived on 15 May 2026 through Welfare Sounds & Records and earned praise from Swedish newspapers Dagens Nyheter, Svenska Dagbladet, Göteborgs-Posten and Aftonbladet.
The single “Pure Control” was named Hit of the Week by Swedish radio station P3 and received extensive domestic airplay. International radio support has come from BBC Radio 6 Music, Radio X and Amazing Radio, with presenters John Kennedy, Amy Lamé and Chris Hawkins among the band’s advocates.
The debut also received exposure on Spotify and Apple Music. The group appeared on the cover of the former platform’s Indie Highlights playlist, alongside placements on New Music Friday in Sweden and Norway and Fresh Finds Nordics.
Onstage, their sound brings together breakbeats, rattling guitars, post-punk and euphoric club rhythms. Touring has taken them across their home country, the UK and continental Europe, including appearances at The Great Escape, Focus Wales, Sharpe Festival, Colours of Ostrava and by. They have also played an increasing number of sold-out headline concerts.
