Sofia HK has released “Flytta då”, featuring Levina Storåkern of Aevestaden and Diket, through Supertraditional. Following the first single, “Kom lilla kropp”, the song precedes her debut full-length album, Flocken, due on 20 November 2026. It considers the decision to move between places, relationships and stages of life, both questioning and defending the impulse to leave and start again.
The search for home is not presented as a straightforward choice between staying and going. The song describes building a new life without feeling certain where one belongs. In a passage from the lyrics, translated from Swedish, the singer writes: “The big city has taught you to walk at right angles and that the sun can get caught in the high-rises, and perhaps it is no wonder you turn to escapism and dream yourself away to the summer pasture.”
The record explores the security of belonging to a group and the experience of exclusion. Several songs return to the city and the village, and the desires for anonymity and connection.
Concrete experiences underpin that scope. Describing the writing, the artist says, in translation: “I wrote a song about clear-cuts and a song about the animals back home. Then I wrote a song about eating disorders, a song about unwanted intimacy and one about being so in love you don’t know what to do with yourself—and somehow there was a common thread running through all of it.”
Growing into adulthood is another strand: recognising that joy and sorrow coexist, and that security requires care. The writing also holds onto the belief that people want to meet, care for and protect one another.
Musically, the record develops the approach introduced on I Norr, combining folk traditions with contemporary songwriting and production. Grammis-winning producer Hampus Norén oversaw the album, whose guests also include Kristian Matsson, known as The Tallest Man On Earth, and Sara Parkman. Several duets make collaboration part of the songs’ structure, while a recurring choir represents the singer’s own circle of people.
Her recording debut came in 2025, followed by praise from SVT Kulturnyheterna, P1 Kultur and Lira, which identified her as a promising voice between folk, Swedish song tradition and melancholy. A European tour with the first of those album guests followed; she also contributes to his new record. Previous performances include Alma Löv in Sunne, and she has been selected for GAFFA’s Top 50 list of Sweden’s next music names.
The announced live schedule spans Sweden, Denmark and Norway:
