The veteran band Shed Seven has revealed plans for a new self-titled album, slated for release on January 8, 2027 via Cooking Vinyl. At the same time, the band has released the lead single "Stand Together," giving fans a first glimpse into the next chapter of the group's career. The record will be the band's seventh studio album, a milestone also reflected in its title.

The news was announced in connection with an immediately sold-out acoustic concert at London's legendary 100 Club, where fans around the world are invited to follow the performance via livestream. Steve Lamacq, an icon in British music radio, acts as the evening's host. Earlier in the day, Shed Seven made an appearance on Radio X, where they performed an acoustic set and debuted "Stand Together." The single has already been praised for showcasing the band at its very best and clearly marks the ambition of this new era.

Shed Seven's comeback has become one of British rock's most impressive stories of recent years. In 2024, the band achieved its very first number one spot on the UK album chart with "A Matter Of Time," and less than a year later, they repeated the feat with "Liquid Gold." Scoring two number one albums in the same calendar year places Shed Seven in a very exclusive club alongside legends such as The Beatles, Elton John, and David Bowie.

Frontman Rick Witter comments on the new album: "We are delighted to announce our seventh studio album, which has been named Shed Seven to honor that fact. We have put great care into making this album our best so far and truly hope these songs will be well-loved. The new comeback single 'Stand Together' is a clear statement—a call to unite and a plea for unity in the world we live in today."

The band's momentum has also been evident outside the studio. Their show at Glastonbury 2025 was met with critical acclaim, with MOJO describing the performance as a "triumphant return." That same year, Shed Seven was named Best Live Act at the Independent Music Awards, with fans casting the votes. The major outdoor shows in 2025 became some of the largest concerts in the band's thirty-year history, underlining their enduring appeal on the live stage.

Shed Seven is also looking ahead to the tenth edition of their popular Shedcember tour, further strengthening ties with both loyal fans and new listeners. The upcoming self-titled album "Shed Seven" looks set to build on the band’s impressive legacy, charged with new creative energy and a spirit of unity embodied in "Stand Together."
