NYHET Rock #Scorpions

Scorpions will perform at Dalhalla in Rättvik, Sweden, on 23 June 2027. Tickets go on sale on 6 November 2026 at 11:00 via dalhalla.se.

Founded by guitarist Rudolf Schenker in 1965, the band has recorded more than two dozen studio and live albums during a career spanning over 60 years. Its worldwide album sales exceed 120 million, with 58 platinum and 67 gold certifications.

The group’s concert history includes performances on every continent and an appearance at the inaugural Rock in Rio festival, which drew 1.3 million visitors. It also became the first German band to sell out New York’s Madison Square Garden on three consecutive nights.

One particularly high-altitude engagement took place in September 2010, when 40,000 fans attended the band’s performance at Hernando Siles Stadium in La Paz, Bolivia. The venue stands 3,636 metres above sea level.

The musicians have also played several times in Manaus, in Brazil’s Amazon rainforest, including at the invitation of Greenpeace. The DVD Amazonia – Live in the Jungle was recorded there, and its proceeds went to the environmental organisation.

“Wind of Change” has accumulated more than a billion streams or views across Spotify, YouTube and Vevo. The song is described as the best-selling single by a German band.

The group’s honours include a World Music Award, an ECHO Lifetime Achievement Award, a star on Hollywood’s RockWalk and induction into the Heavy Metal Hall of Fame. Its name has also been given to a newly discovered spider species in Brazil.
