The Swedish artist, producer, and songwriter LKN strengthens his momentum with the release of "Brandkåren", the third single from the forthcoming album Fling, to be released on October 23, 2026, via Island Records. The new song builds anticipation for the album, which follows the character Mr. Fling through themes such as euphoric love, self-confidence, darkness, self-reflection, and ultimately a new beginning.
The dual nature of emotion in "Brandkåren"
In "Brandkåren", LKN paints the contradictory dynamics of a relationship. With radical emotions and doubting undertones, the song’s lyric "Det känns så rätt att du och jag är fel" (It feels so right that you and I are wrong) sums up the tension between desire and reason. The listener is invited into Mr. Fling’s world, where a regained self-confidence and zest for life upon returning to the dating scene collide with reflection and uncertainty—themes expected to characterize the album Fling.
The single is released along with a music video, underscoring LKN’s wish to strengthen storytelling visually as well. The launch date for the video has not been specified, but its publication will add further layers to the song’s expression.
LKN, originally from Heby outside Uppsala, has crafted his artistry marked by independence and authenticity. He has made a strong impression both as a producer and songwriter by blending playful, soulful pop with infectious melodies, warm grooves, and honest lyrics. This has quickly garnered attention and positioned him as one of Swedish pop’s most prominent new voices.
His breakthrough is underscored by several accolades and recognitions. In 2026, LKN was named Spotify Artist to Watch, and he was listed by GAFFA as an "Artist att kolla in." In 2025, he was also awarded the Denniz Pop Awards in the Rookie Songwriter/Producer category, a prize that further highlights his talent and rising star status.
LKN’s presence has also been strengthened through live performances, where he has opened for acts such as Victor Leksell, Daniela Rathana, Tjuvjakt, and Oskar Linnros. This has provided valuable stage experience and enabled him to meet audiences across the country.
