Lars Winnerbäck is arranging the second edition of Klubb Nypon at Saab Arena in his hometown Linköping on December 5, 2026. The evening combines a concert with the singer and his band with specially invited guest artists. Organizers will cover the rink and build a bar and a club stage. The arena is thereby transformed for an event intended as a tribute to the club scene, live music, and the enthusiasts who keep it alive.

At the premiere in 2025, Thomas Stenström, Nicole Sabouné, Hurula, Tobias Forge from Ghost, Sarah Klang, and Erlend Ropstad performed on stage, while Christopher Garplind and Fredrik Strage handled the DJ booth. Tickets sold out in just a few minutes.

Earlier on the day of the concert, the eleventh Nyponpriset will be awarded at Babettes Kulturpalats at 16:30. Klorin will provide the music, and the program includes conversations with the singer, the recipient or recipients, and the artisan behind the prize object. Jan Gradvall, who was on the foundation's board during its first year, will be the host.

The foundation's mission is to promote cultural life in the municipality. Each year, it awards a scholarship of 100,000 kronor to one or more people whose work contributes to this. In addition to the monetary prize, the recipients receive a rosehip crafted by an artisan working in Östergötland.

The first award ceremony took place at Linköping Konsert & Kongress in March 2016, when Erika Wessbo, Lydia Halldorf, and Christina Eveborn received the prize. This was followed by Kaj Sivervik and Patrik Lindecrantz in 2017, Sam Anlér in 2018, Ulrika Reinholdsson in 2019, Sami Rahim in 2020, and Ben Kersley in 2021. Åke Andersson and Anders Karlsson received the prize in 2022, Jakob Graf in 2023, as well as Mona Larsson and Tedde Tillberg in 2024. Most recently, it was awarded to Edvard Nissen at Bengans record store.

Winnerbäck's discography now comprises fifteen studio albums. In the spring of 2026, he traveled with his live band to La Fabrique in Provence in southern France to record Längtan till våren, which was released in September of the same year.

Concerts in recent years include a sold-out arena tour in autumn 2023, followed by a summer tour attended by more than 140,000 people the following year. The next summer, he gave only one concert: a performance in front of 15,850 people at Rosendal Garden Party in Stockholm.

The arena tour in autumn 2026 starts in his hometown and continues through Sweden and Norway, with stops at, among other places, Scandinavium in Gothenburg, Malmö Arena, Avicii Arena in the capital, and Oslo Spektrum. In the spring of 2027, another tour awaits through northern Sweden, northern Norway, Finland, and Denmark.
