Käärijä and SANNI Release Joint EP "Vitun hyvää joulua" with Three New Songs
Two of Finland’s most prominent artists, Käärijä and SANNI, are breaking new ground with the joint EP "Vitun hyvää joulua", released today. This project marks the first time these two chart-topping stars have made music together and is a notable moment for Finnish pop. The EP offers three entirely new songs: "Booty call", "Hei me pärjätään" and "Sinkkumies" – an offering sure to set the tone for all of summer's playlists.
The collaboration between Käärijä and SANNI has previously resonated with audiences at Ruisrock, where the duo surprised their fans with two unexpected performances. Their joint effort at Käärijä’s acclaimed concert at Rantalava received particular attention, giving a strong preview of the creative chemistry now realized in studio sessions.
Both artists have built their careers as innovators on the Finnish music scene. Käärijä, fresh off his sold-out EURODISKO concert at Helsingin Veikkaus Arena, has quickly become an international sensation. He has, among other things, five Emma statuettes and has been awarded the MTV Europe Music Award for Best Nordic Artist. In the autumn of 2026, Käärijä’s third and largest European tour so far is scheduled, as he puts the finishing touches on a new studio album to be released in the fall.
Meanwhile, SANNI continues to dominate as one of Finland’s most listened to and followed pop artists. She recently released her sixth studio album, "Rakastavaiset", whose lead single "Sinä ja se poitsu" immediately took the top spot on the Finnish Spotify chart and became one of the year’s most talked-about music moments in the country. SANNI has received three Emma awards and broken records in both radio play and streaming, further confirming her popularity with the public.
"Vitun hyvää joulua" marks a milestone where two distinctive artists meet and form a new unique expression. Where their previous solo works have often topped the charts, this collaboration allows listeners to discover new musical layers and unexpected combinations. Each song offers its own take on the duo’s dynamic: from playful energy in "Booty call" to hopeful resilience in "Hei me pärjätään" and a contemplative groove in "Sinkkumies".
For fans of Finnish pop, this EP is more than just a celebrity duo – it is a celebration of innovation and the sense of community that arises when music brings people together. With both Käärijä and SANNI at the height of their careers, "Vitun hyvää joulua" is both an obvious soundtrack for the summer and proof of the power of collaboration in today’s music world.
