On November 13, Swedish musician H. C. Fell introduces his first full-length album, Tremble, rejoice, my tongue’s harvest, released on Anna von Hausswolff's label Pomperipossa Records. This highly anticipated debut is a fearless exploration of sound, atmosphere, and memory, where the creator showcases a unique ability to reshape both the classical musical heritage and personal storytelling into a captivating sonic journey.

Behind the name H. C. Fell is Hannes Ferm, who, together with co-producer Jacob Haage, has created a work that dissolves boundaries between genres and eras. The album envelops the listener with dense, emotionally charged atmospheres and evokes thoughts of the expressiveness of opera, the contemporary classical spirit of experimentation, and the distinctive Italian castrato singing tradition. These influences are interwoven into the fabric of the album, resulting in a soundscape that feels timeless yet distinctly contemporary.

A deep heritage permeates Tremble, rejoice, my tongue’s harvest. The album is dedicated to Fell’s father, Jan Ferm, a recognized composer whose work is quoted on the fifth track, "Evig." This familial dimension adds a personal layer, making the experience feel both intimate and universal.

The first single from the album, "Wings (For M)", offers insight into Fell’s artistry – a meditative, texture-rich piece that opens up a listening experience where music is felt as much as it is reflected upon. The single is now available for streaming and gives early listeners a taste of the album’s detailed sound world (listen at pomperipossa.lnk.to/wings).

The creation of the album is characterized by uncompromising authenticity. Rather than recreating classical models, Fell focuses on their drama, tension, and beauty, which, combined with Haage’s production, results in something both cinematic and intimate.

H. C. Fell’s avant-garde expression will be highlighted further at two concerts at Turteatern on September 18 and 19. These performances are created in collaboration with the artist Walter Berge, complemented by live strings, choir, and strong visual elements – the concerts promise an immersive experience where the album’s attention to detail meets multidisciplinary artistic expressions.

With his debut album, H. C. Fell not only honors the musical heritage but also establishes his own voice – marked by artistic boldness, emotional depth, and an unusual willingness to push boundaries. Tremble, rejoice, my tongue’s harvest paves the way for listeners seeking authenticity and renewal at the crossroads of tradition and the present.
