Grant returns with Triptyk on 5 February, beginning a creative partnership with Finnish producer Minna Koivisto, better known as Finnjävel. The electronic production frames a rawer, starker and more resolute vocal approach.

The record’s cited influences include Björk, Tricky, Portishead and Cocteau Twins. Those artists’ dreamlike musical worlds inform a return to the singer’s roots, with an emphasis on breadth and intensity in the production.

Fire runs through the album’s concept, representing intensity, impulse, destruction and warmth. Its imagery presents rebirth as an exorcism: three pyres dedicated to former selves, marking a break with the past.

The earlier single “C’mon Caroline”, selected as Swedish radio station P3’s hit of the week, introduced the first act of that narrative. The next pair of songs moves into its second act, where desire and uncertainty become the central concerns.

“Baby” and “Baby Pt. 2” arrive as a double single through Skolhaus on 5 November. The first captures desire at its most intense, with a choir gradually swelling around a trembling lead vocal. Hope and doubt surface in the question, “what if I’ll be right this time?” The second sustains the passion but introduces stronger resistance alongside the uncertainty, using distorted breakbeats and vocals to give shape to its defiance.
