Yellowcard releases new single “Calvary Drive” and announces ‘Better Days (Deluxe)’
Yellowcard, one of the most acclaimed groups in pop-punk, is entering a new era of creativity with the release of their energetic single “Calvary Drive”, which has also been accompanied by a special lyric video. The track serves as the first taste from the upcoming Better Days (Deluxe Edition), launching on September 18, 2026, via Better Noise Music. At the same time, the band is also unveiling plans for an extensive European and UK tour in November 2026—this time together with genre peers Good Charlotte.
An inspired return with new material
“Calvary Drive” has symbolic significance for Yellowcard’s new chapter and reflects both the creative spark and collaboration behind the album’s creation. It was the very first demo the band made with Travis Barker (Blink-182) and songwriter Nick Long. The idea originally emerged during a relaxed studio weekend, but the session quickly became the starting point for the entire Better Days project. Barker, who plays all drums and contributes to production, has described the work as both smooth and organic, with the band's intense collaboration rapidly resulting in an album of new material.
The deluxe edition of Better Days expands the album experience with four tracks that are not on the original 2025 release. The mix of Yellowcard’s trademark tempo, vibrant melodies, and positive energy is combined with guest contributions from several well-known artists. Avril Lavigne guests on the intense “You Broke Me Too”, which she herself described as a hopeful song after heartbreak, while Matt Skiba (Alkaline Trio) and Steve Aoki leave their marks on “Love Letters Lost” and “Hell With Me” respectively.
The album also revisits “Bedroom Posters”, now in a new version with Good Charlotte’s Joel Madden—a collaboration that has quickly become a fan favorite with millions of streams and a top spot on the Billboard Alternative Airplay chart. The new singles and variety of guest artists highlight Yellowcard’s timeless appeal and their ability to bring new influences into their iconic sound.
