The legendary Finnish band Dingo returns to Sweden for two concerts in September 2026. On Friday, September 4, the band plays at Debaser Strand in Stockholm, followed by a concert at Pustervik in Gothenburg on Saturday, September 5. With Neumann at the helm, Dingo will perform songs from a career spanning four decades.
Few groups have had as great an influence on the Finnish music scene as Dingo. Already with their debut album Nimeni on Dingo and its follow-up Kerjäläisten valtakunta, the band secured their place in Finnish music history. The latter is still considered one of the best-selling albums in Finland.
During the band's breakthrough in the 1980s, an almost unique mass hysteria arose. Chiffon scarves, overflowing venues, huge amounts of fan mail, and admirers following the tour bus all became part of the phenomenon that came to be known as Dingomania.
Dingo's music has continued to inspire new generations of Finnish artists. Several of the band's songs have also been given new life through covers and modern interpretations.
During the concerts in Stockholm and Gothenburg, the audience can expect hit-filled evenings with classics such as Autiotalo, Levoton tuhkimo, Sinä ja minä, and Nahkatakkinen tyttö.
Dingo was founded in Björneborg and was inducted into the Finnish Music Hall of Fame in 2022. The band has been awarded the Finnish music prize Emma and remains one of the most well-known names in Finnish rock and pop.
