Andreas is beginning a new chapter as a solo artist after years with Sannex, the award-winning band whose performances have included Allsång på Skansen and Melodifestivalen. With Warner behind him, he plans to release music under his own name and take it to festival stages around Sweden.
Sannex announced its farewell tour on the Swedish television programme Nyhetsmorgon on November 28, 2025. The band later brought its run to a close with a sold-out final concert at Huskvarna Folkets Park. For Andreas, the move into solo work follows a long association with the group, but it also opens space for a broader range of musical ideas.
A wider musical palette
Country has been an important part of Andreas’s musical life for years. His connection to the genre was reflected in Crossroads, a country-influenced album partly recorded in Nashville. The album brought him a Grammis award as well as a nomination, according to the supplied information. The material does not specify the award categories or years.
His first featured release in this new phase is Drinks on the House, described as a country-rock song inspired by Downtown Nashville. Andreas has spent time in the city, and the song draws on the atmosphere associated with its bars and music scene. Jamie Meyer, Håkan Mjörnheim and Keith Dozier wrote the track. Meyer is a Swedish artist and songwriter; Mjörnheim’s credits include work connected with Carola, Ted Gärdestad and Mikael Rickfors; and Dozier is associated with the American country duo Montgomery Gentry. Amir Aly produced the song, and his production work also includes projects with Jill Johnson.
The song points toward country, but Andreas describes his solo direction as intentionally open. He says the music will bring together country, Swedish pop and singer-songwriter influences, with songs in Swedish, English and the Skåne dialect. Rather than working within the conventions associated with dance-band music, he wants the freedom to release different kinds of songs.
In a statement about the change, Andreas says he is proud of his past with Sannex while also wanting listeners to encounter a side of his musicianship they have not yet heard. He describes singing, playing and writing as central to his life since childhood. Over the years, he has accumulated songs that stayed in a drawer; beginning a solo career gives him an opportunity to bring that material forward alongside new work.
From the farewell stage to what comes next
The shift is arriving at a moment when Andreas had expected to pause. He is currently on parental leave with his first child and had promised himself he would hold back from touring for a while. Yet he says enquiries about performances began coming in before he had even hinted that he wanted to return to the road. The response has helped turn the prospect of live shows into part of the solo plan.
That combination of new recordings and festival appearances gives the project a clear connection to Andreas’s experience as a performer, while the musical scope is not limited to the sound of Sannex. His stated aim is to entertain, bring people together and play music he believes in, with room for contrasting styles and languages. Drinks on the House offers an early indication of the country-rock strand, while the wider direction leaves space for Swedish pop and more personal singer-songwriter material.
For an artist whose career has included a prominent band, award recognition and a Nashville-linked country album, the solo move is both a continuation and a change of scale: Andreas carries forward the influences that have shaped him, but takes responsibility for a broader musical identity of his own.
